- It is not strictly necessary to buy this book. You can get the cockatrice entry from Siegfried when you first meet him in the sewers, and the Basilisk and wyvern entries from the Townswoman sitting at The New Narakort. The royal wyvern entry doesn't yield any new entries.
- Wyverns will yield wing membrane and venom glands. Those provide Rebis with Albedo and Vermilion with Nigredo, in Chapter II early key ingredients for getting that desired secondary substance on a potion.
