Assengard is the ancient and once far-famed city located in the current Nilfgaardian province of Nazair, four hundred furlongs (~50 miles) north to Mil Tracta. Nowadays it is in ruins.

Buyvid Backhuysen writes that they walked towards the lake from the North, from Assengard ... Today Assengard is no more, only ruins remain and the nearest town is Neunreuth. Buyvid counted four hundred furlongs from Assengard.

Notes[ | ]

  • Buyvid Backhuysen had visited it.
  • Nivellen was in possession of a bathtub said to have been stolen from Assengard by his father.
  • It is uncertain if the city was destroyed during the conquest by Nilfgaard, or earlier for some unknown reason.
