The Battle of Aldersberg takes place after the invasion by Nilfgaard of Dol Angra. Talks between Nilfgaard and the north break down and queen Meve of Lyria and king Demawend of Aedirn decide to close the front. The battle takes place on the field at Aldersberg and the Northerners are decisively beaten back. The Nilfgaardian commander, Field Marshal Menno Coehoorn, breaks through the northern defenses at Vengerberg and takes the city.
