Braenn is human girl who was raised as a dryad in the forest of Brokilon. She appears in "The Sword of Destiny", a short story. She becomes Geralt's guide through the forest when he is discovered trying to enter the glades unannounced. She is an expert archer, as are all dryads.
Initially she does not remember her human name, but later, after witnessing Ciri's trance in Eithné's tree, she remembers that she was once Mona and reveals this to the witcher who had asked her earlier about her past. Ultimately she rejects her human past and asks Geralt to forget Mona, only Braenn exists now.
In the non-canon short story Coś się kończy, coś się zaczyna (Something Ends, Something Begins), she marries Freixenet after a time and they go on to have at least five daughters, Morenn, Cirilla, Mona, Eithné and Kashka. They are both among the guests at Geralt and Yennefer's wedding.
