Dun Dâre is a village in Nilfgaard in the north part of the Pereplut swamp. It is there that Cyprian Fripp the younger, Yuz Jannowitz, Dede Vargas and Rispat La Pointe were stationed at the behest of Stefan Skellen. They had holed up at the tavern by the crossroads and were supposed to be on the lookout for Falka. On the eve of Samhain, a pauper had arrived at the inn where they were staying. The men gave the old beggar some money, encouraging him to play his bagpipes or tell them tales. As the men listened to tales of Samhain, Ciri arrived in the village. Fripp, Jannowitz, Vargas and La Pointe were all killed.
