The Elven ruins near Lake Wyndamer are located underground all around the village of Byways. There are three main areas where the ruins are visible above ground: to the northwest of Byways, and also to the southeast and northeast of the village. Inside are a number of monsters, including golems, hounds of the Wild Hunt and Nithral.
