These are the seeds of an allegedly common weed; however, ergot is nowhere to be found in the game.

- Ergot does also exist in reality, commonly known of this group of fungi probably is the "Claviceps purpurea", which grows on rye. The fungus contaminates the rye, which can cause ergotism in humans and animals. It had and has use in medicine and was often used as abortifacient since the Middle Ages. Use of the drug can cause hallucinations, contractions, nausea, fever, seizures and etc. Ergotism finally is the long-term-effect of the poisoning and these patients show all kinds of painful convulsions and even dry gangrene.
- Contains Lysergic acid and ergotamine. Lysergic acid was used to synthesise LSD.
