Gerard was the last king of Kovir from House of Trojden and the son of Gedovius and Gemma. He granted young Guido Thyssen a favour by giving him a title of the margrave of East March and, later, giving hand of his youngest daughter Alicja to Edmund Thyssen.
Besides Alicja, Gerard had four other children: three sons and older daughter Anna. Disastrously, all of them died tragically. Gerard, the last Trojdenide, survived all his children (except Alicja) and died naturally.
