Godamba Thaess’en was the founder of the House of Thyssen and also Scarab Thyssen's father.
Once upon a time he witnessed a sassy priest upbraiding the king of Talgar's wife. Without hesitation, Godamba hit him in the face, calling in Elven Thaess’en, raesce!, which means Hush up, scoundrel!. For this deed he was knighted and granted with a cognomen "Thaess’en" (which later transformed into "Thyssen") and an emblem of an armed arm. [1]
The chronicles have preserved no name of Godamba's wife. The knight had 15 children, including 9 sons, so it is assumed he had at least few wives or concubines. [2]
