Hanse base
There are three hanse bases in the "Blood and Wine" expansion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They are found at the following locations:
- Mont Crane Castle, leader: Filibert von Wittan
- Arthach Palace Ruins, leader: Antoine Straggen
- Tulasens Caves, leader: Loth
Each location is the base of operations of an outlaw gang known as a "hanse". Geralt must be particularly wary and prepare for a tough fight when approaching one. The bandits in them are well-organized and when attacked might call for help from neighboring camps.
To prevent this, kill bandits running with torches 
towards signal fires 
. The goal is to kill the hanse's leader.
After destroying the base and killing its leader, his power over the area ends. Deprived of their strong leader, bandits from nearby camps will then disperse and undoubtedly be picked off by knights errant or monsters.
