Ildiko Breckl was the queen of Kerack. She was able to marry into royalty mostly thanks to her cunning and wits. Originally she was to be wedded to Belohun but by presenting him with a deadly, magical necklace she made sure that the monarch would become strangled to death by it. The new crown prince Viraxas, nearly instantaneously, resurrected an ancient law, about which no one had ever heard, that stated he was now responsible for his father's bride and would marry her. At the time of Ildiko's wedding, Coral estimated that she was "at least" 25 years old, even though she looked as if she was 17 years old. Her life wasn't easy, she was expelled from Aretuza on her 3rd year due to petty thievery.
She is a character who appears exclusively in the Season of Storms novel.
