Isengrim Faoiltiarna image from his Gwent card
|Scoia'tael, brigade "Vrihedd"|
As a condition of the Treaty of Cintra, thirty-two elven commanders that fought under Nilfgaardian banner were captured and surrendered to the Northern Kingdoms, including Isengrim. He managed to escape and fled to the foot of the Elskerdeg Pass, where he met with Sigismund Dijkstra and Boreas Mun, both fugitives for their own reasons. The three of them formed an unlikely travelling party, heading East, towards Zerrikania or even Haakland, presumably leaving the territories of the Nilfgaard Empire and the Northern Kingdoms for good.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Because of their similar outfits (the damaged face) and background (as Scoia'teal leaders) Isengrim Faoiltiarna and Iorveth, a main character in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, appear to be the same person. The physical description of Iorveth in the game's journal entry is a direct quote of the physical description of Isengrim Faoiltiarna in the novel Baptism of Fire.
- In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Isengrim appears on a hero Gwent card, establishing his distinction from Iorveth in the game series.
