Jerome Moreau was the son of Tomas Moreau and a witcher of the Griffin School. He was imprisoned and possibly left to die by his own father in the hidden laboratory accessible only through the portal under Mont Crane Castle, since Tomas Moreaue sought to "free" his son of his fate as a witcher (as suggested in the Notes on the back of a diagram).
Jerome's exact fate however is not clear, since there is no body or skeleton found in the laboratory. Geralt also comments that Tomas Moreau came to terms with his son being a witcher, though if he released him, it's not clear why Jerome left behind his witcher gear diagrams.
