This sword can be found inside a house in Vergen (on Iorveth's path) during Chapter II or can be looted from a weapon stand in Loc Muinne during Chapter III, but likely elsewhere as well.

- A Karabela is a Polish saber type, been most popular in the 1670s.
- Some say the name is a derivation from the name of the Iraqui city of Karbala, known for trade of this kind of sabres.
- Another background of the word may be the combination of the Turkish "Kara", the color black, and the Arabian "Bela", what means misfortune, curse or hex.
- In Turkish Kara-bela is also used for "Black Plague", the disease.
