Kraken

Krakens are enormous sea monsters that can take entire boats, not just their occupants. In the short story "A Little Sacrifice" a short story in the Sword of Destiny, it is suggested that sirens control these beasts. Whatever their motivations, they are quite universally feared by those who sail the seas.
