Roc

Rocs are flying monsters which are basically enormous birds of prey, as large as dragons. They don't usually attack people, preferring to feed on larger creatures like rhinoceros. They live in crags and caves in high rocky areas choosing to raise their young in such places because they are easily defended. If they sense approaching danger, they bombard their enemies with rocks. Their accuracy is very good. Rocs can be found on the southern coast of the continent. Very rarely have any been found alive and only about a dozen are thought to still be in existence.
