At the end of The Lady of the Lake, Boreas Mun meets a huge, seven foot tall traveler and an elf in the wilderness near the Elskerdeg Pass. The huge man introduces himself as Sigi Reuven, but he is arguably Sigismund Dijkstra. After informing co-adviser Philippa Eilhart that he was pursuing the conspirators behind King Vizimir's assassination, an attempt was made on his own life. Realizing that he may have confided in the wrong person, Djikstra was forced to flee Redania in haste, adopting a new alias to avoid detection.
