Sylphs are nymphs of the air. Yarpen Zigrin refers to them, along with nymphs and rusalkas, as savages.

For over a hundred years we've been trying to come to terms with the humans. The halflings, gnomes, us, even the elves — I'm not talking about rusalkas, nymphs and sylphs, they've always been savages, even when you weren't here.

Notes[]

Sylphs or sylphids are mythological spirits of air. It's worth to note that the first term refers to male spirits, while the second to their female counterparts. In the original Polish novel only the feminine version is used.
