Talgar is a region in Kovir and Poviss at the foot of the Dragon Mountains. It is bordered to the west by the mountainous region of Velhad, and to the east by Malleore. The nearest major city is Hengfors. It is said that the winter there lasts from September to May, and that summer begins on the first Tuesday after the August new moon.
One of the more famous people from Talgar is Bernika, who was said to have been afflicted with the curse of the Black Sun. She later came to rule the region.
