Was it ever explained why the in game appearances (especially the mental state) deviates so much from the original stories? This short story served as a intro to the game and came as a short story book from the NA: EE edition of the game. Kotomi 22:37, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Nothing official has been said that i know of. I believe it was just expediency coupled with some inattention to detail, but that's just me. There are plenty of "mistakes" when it comes to the "canon" stories. Game widow 22:00, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
It would have made much more sense (for the in game story) if she was an impostor, with the real princess hidden away somewhere. Any girls suffering that much PTSD that can cause mental retardation will not trust anyone long enough to help them, but I digress. Kotomi 22:47, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

As far as I recall, Geralt and Foltest only talk about her state right after the transformation - which is, expectedly, that of a 14-year-old girl in the mental condition of a newborn. This does not mean that her brain is permanently damaged, though. It's rather that she had little time to grow up since then, and has obviously retained some of her animal ways. (I don't know what it says in "Temerian Dynasty", though.) 12:23, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

I can only base this on what i can decipher from the Polish site and what i have read. — Game widow 18:13, September 15, 2009 (UTC)
