Alcoholic beverages are that subset of Alcohol, weak and medium strength, which can not be used as potion bases. They are strictly for Geralt's drinking pleasure, to be used as gifts, or are quest requirements.
Beer[]
Beer is an excellent choice for the many drinking contests in The Witcher. It is far less strong than the hard alcohols, making Geralt's chances of winning much greater.
