- 1 July: Thanedd coup at Thanedd Isle: A major conflict broke out between the mages supporting the Nilfgaardian Empire and those supporting the Northern Kingdoms. The Conclave of Mages wanted to remain neutral. The Northern side wanted to arrest the mages within the Conclave who had been conspiring with the Nilfgaardian. A battle ensured and many perished in the event. As a result, the Lodge of Sorceresses was founded by Philippa Eilhart.
- Assault on Stygga castle: Vilgefortz, Rience and Schirrú were defeated by the joint forces of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, Ciri and Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy in Stygga. Regis and Vilgefortz both perished.

- 13 September: Geralt arrived at the Ravine of the Hydra. 53 officers of the Vrihedd were executed. Only Iorveth and Isengrim Faoiltiarna survived.
- 23 November: Geralt arrived at Cintra, pursuing the Wild Hunt.

- 24 February: Geralt of Rivia arrived at a high pass in the Armush mountain and killed an Imperial Manticore.
- 30 May: Geralt arrived at the Yaruga River, pursuing the Wild Hunt.
- 25 July: Geralt arrived at the forest of Angren and saved Letho, Serrit and Auckes from a Slyzard. The Viper Witchers joined Geralt and continue the pursuit of the Wild Hunt.
- Winter Solstice: The Witchers caught up with the Wild Hunt at a Hanged man's tree somewhere in the heart of the Nilfgaardian Empire. The kidnapped Yennefer was among them. Geralt asked the leader of the Hunt (possibly Eredin Bréacc Glas) to exchange his own soul for Yennefer's.

- A major conflict broke out in Old Vizima. The Order of the Flaming Rose and the army of Mutants led by Jacques de Aldersberg, the Scoia'tael led by Yaevinn, and the neutral guardsmen loyal to Foltest fought in a 3-way battle. Rayla was killed by Yaevinn.
- Adda's curse returned and she became a Striga again. Requested by Foltest, Geralt had to either lift the curse again or to kill Adda.
- Geralt killed Adda.
- Or, Geralt lifted the curse of Adda. Subsequently, Adda would marry Radovid V.
- Geralt hunted down Azar Javed and destroyed the Salamandra. But it was revealed Jacques de Aldersberg was behind the conspiracy, wishing to create a new species of new human.

- The confrontation between de Aldersberg and Geralt took place at the Ice Plains. King of the Wild Hunt appeared and offered a proposition.
- If Geralt accepted, the King of the Wild Hunt took the soul of de Aldersberg and told Geralt that he knew him with another name, possibly Alvin.
- If Geralt refused, he defeated King of the Wild Hunt in its spectral form. Geralt killed de Aldersberg with a silver sword.
- The confrontation between de Aldersberg and Geralt took place at the Ice Plains. King of the Wild Hunt appeared and offered a proposition.
- Sometime when Geralt was in Vizima, Letho assassinated King Demavend III.
- When Geralt returned to collect rewards from Foltest, a mysterious assassin with witcher's eyes snuck into the Royal Palace and attempted Foltest's life. Geralt reacted quickly and defeated the assassin.
- Foltest made Geralt his royal bodyguard and brought him around everywhere.
- At the same time, the Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr var Emreis took an interest in the delirious Yennefer and took her away from Letho. With helps of Nilfgaardian mages, Yennefer restored her memory and found herself serving in the imperial court. She apparently remained there until the beginning of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where she wrote a letter to Geralt.
- 3 months before the assassination of Foltest, Letho arrived at Iorveth's hideout in Flotsam forests near Flotsam and forged an alliance with the Scoia'tael.
- 1270 ~ 1271
- Events of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
- Foltest, bringing along Geralt of Rivia, laid siege to the La Valette Castle, aiming to capture his lover - Baroness Maria Louisa La Valette; and his 2 children - Anaïs La Valette and Boussy La Valette.
- Letho assassinated Foltest but Geralt was mistaken as the kingslayer.
- Vernon Roche suspected the official charges and freed Geralt from the Dungeons of La Valette Castle.
- Led by Vernon Roche, the Blue Stripes, along with Ves and Triss Merigold sailed upriver the Pontar and arrived at Flotsam, suspecting the Scoia'tael unit of Iorveth had a hand in the assassination.
- The party reunited with Dandelion and Zoltan Chivay in Flotsam.
- In Flotsam, some individuals were suspected to be remnants of the Salamandra. Vencel Pugg had confirmed he worked under either Gellert or Roland Bleinheim (or both) back in Vizima. Dmitri and Louis Merse were possible to be ones as well.
- Geralt hunted down the Kayran with the aid of Sheala de Tancarville.

- Blinded by bloodlust, Henselt smashed Olcan's head into a runic stone and activated the curse of Sabrina Glevissig, which was casted 3 years ago when she was burnt in a pyre.
- The Blues Stripes arrived and encamped near the Kaedweni camp.
- Iorveth's Scoia'tael made their way into Vergen and joined the defence.
- Saskia was poisoned by possibly Prince Stennis, Olcan and Thorak.
- The Aedirnian peasants broke out a riot against the Prince, accusing him of poisoning Saskia.
- The mob lynched the Prince, thus ending the line of the late king Demavend.
- Or, Geralt prevented the Prince being lynched.
- Philippa Eilhart and Geralt made an antidote and healed Saskia. But Philippa also enthralled Saskia so that she could only agree with her in all thoughts and actions.

- Geralt arrived at the house of Philippa and saw de Tancarville teleporting away. Henselt arrived shortly after and fought the witcher.
- Vernon arrived after the fight and killed Henselt for revenge.
