In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the region of White Orchard is the game's prologue area. It is located east of Temeria's capital Vizima and is named after its largest village.
By the time of Geralt and Vesemir's arrival, Nilfgaardian troops have occupied the area. Scattered bands of Temerian deserters roam the outskirts while patriotic guerrilla fighters attempt to offer some resistance against the southern invaders.
