Yennefer's Valentine Adventure by Corylea
Yennefer's Valentine is a bite-sized adventure created by Corylea as a Valentine's gift to The Witcher Community, and released a few days before February 14, 2012.
The adventure is only 15 minutes long to play, featuring Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer celebrating Valentine's Day. There is no official model of Yennefer in the D'jinni Adventure Editor, so Corylea used Triss character model, recoloring her hair, eyes and dress.
Plot[]

It's Valentine's Day in Vengerberg, and Geralt visits his beloved Yennefer at her house. Yennefer had a gift for him, but something went wrong and a monster stole it. After retrieve it, it is time for the witcher to give his present to Yennefer, but Geralt does not know much about love demeanor and has none. So the witcher asks to his dearest friends for help, Dandelion and Zoltan, but he has to decide which is the appropriate gift for his lover, and Yennefer is no modest woman. Will Geralt be able to find the appropriate gift for Yennefer and finally receive his reward?
Description[]
- Yennefer's Valentine has two paths, providing three different kind of gifts for each. Basically all six lead to the same ending. You can choose to ask to Zoltan or to Dandelion for help, playing two different paths. Depending on what you want to give to Yennefer, you can fight different monsters: Wyverns, Cockatrices or Basilisks.
- The adventure is very short, 15 min of playing. Corylea worked on it in a week, as a gift for Valentine's Day to the Community.

The file you download is called yens_valentine.zip, and if you look at it in Windows Explorer, it should say that it has a file size of 53,607 KB. Unzip that file, and you should have two files: a README and the adventure file. The adventure file is called yens_valentine.adv, and if you look at it in Windows Explorer, it should say that it has a file size of 84,890 KB.

Windows XP[]
- Copy the ADV file to the Shared Documents\The Witcher folder. The easiest way to find this is in My Computer. You should see a m1_module.adv file already in this folder. If not, it's probably in the wrong folder, unless you know that you've removed "The Price of Neutrality." If you can't find it, open up Windows Explorer and put C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\The Witcher in the Address bar at the top.
- The first time you start the game, go to the Options panel, to the Game Options tab and make sure that the "Subtitles" option is checked.
- If the language in which you play The Witcher is not already set to English, please set it to English before starting up the adventure, or you'll get a bizarre error message.
- Note that this adventure is for The Witcher; it is not intended for—and will not work with -- The Witcher 2.

Note[]
- There's a portrait of Geralt on the wall in Yennefer's apartment, just to the right of her bed.
- The monster in Yennefer's cellar is all brown because... it looks like what it eats, after all.
- Once you've taken the chocolate box quest item, you will have access to the pound of chocolates that is contained inside it. Geralt can eat these chocolates, and they act like any other food, boosting his vitality regeneration for a short while.
- The animation for the make-out scene at the end of the game has been present in The Witcher all along, but for some reason, CDPR decided not to show it to us.
- If your copy of The Witcher is installed in a non-English language, even if you have the text language set to English, the teleportation dialogue that the portal gives you may be in your original language and may have the original choices, rather than the ones that belong to this adventure. It seems to be a quirk of the game's engine.
If you get this problem, just remember that:
- "The Swamp Tower" (however that is said in your language) -- or the first choice you're offered -- actually means "Dandelion knows a lot about women. I'll go ask his advice." Sometimes it is also indicated as "Kalkstein's Laboratory.
- "The Elven ruins in the sewers" (however that's said in your language) -- or the second choice you're offered -- actually means "Zoltan is level-headed and helpful. I'll go ask his advice." To be on the safe side, save your game before using the portal.
- Yennefer tells you not to move while you are using the portal or while you're using the teleportation scroll that she gives you. Listen to her! Do not move after you have started teleporting until you get where you are going and the teleportation special effect turns off.
